Bail in America: The Color of Pretrial Justice is a short documentary addressing some troubling trends in the American criminal justice system around bail: some 500,000 Americans spend a night in jail because they cannot afford bail. The film is for the Pretrial Justice Institute.

In Schools for a New Society, this 30 minute verite-style documentary shows the impact of high school reform on kids in three school districts: Boston, Sacramento and Chattanooga.

Laurens Grant has directed a number of short form documentaries for various corporate clients including the Pretrial Justice Institute, the Carnegie Foundation, and the Educational Development Center [EDC] where I directed short films in Haiti and the Somali region of Ethiopia.
